Conservative MP Jivani is Pierre #Poilievre's direct MAGA-line to the US administration. Jamil Jivani attended the Trump inauguration & was a groomsman at Vance's wedding - they are best friends from university.
After Mr Jivani was fired from his radio-host job for spouting anti-science & anti-LGBTQ slurs, Poilievre parachuted him into the #Ontario riding of Durham.
If #Poilievre can’t pivot to meet the moment during the campaign, how could anyone think he is the right person to lead our country?
Especially a country on a war-footing.
#India was interested in the #CPC leadership principally because of #PatrickBrown, who once drew political benefit from PM Modi's support (at one point, to general surprise, he became leader of the Ontario Tories), but the two have since fallen out. India thus wanted to make sure Mr. Brown didn't win, but with his ouster from the race (for breaking unspecified rules), their main goal was satisfied.
@pinhman Alberta MP Michael Cooper seems the most obvious choice because Mr & Mrs #Poilievre call him a long-time friend, but his connection to this specific immigration situation didn't seem 100% clear in the article.

It's true, Parliament benefits from the presence of the #NDP, notwithstanding the fact I normally think their policies are mistaken. In fact, it was disappointing to read #TomMulcair say otherwise.
