About three years ago I took on the adventure "Elf Coat". It was my first Tunisian Crochet Project and what a learning it has been. The pattern and the resources available from the designer are wonderful and I learned so much from her! The following observations are related to my specific project alone.

- Don't use acrylic yarn for a garment. The static when peeling this coat off is unreal.
- Don't forget gravity: I'm plus size = more yarn = heavier garment = the whole thing stretches when worn. I wanted it to be at my knees, it grew down to my shins.
- Did I mention the static? Seriously, I think that surprised me the most.
- Tunisian Crochet is not my cup of tea. But I'm happy I tried it out.
- Making a garment as a plus size person sucks, unless the garment was specifically designed for plus size.

Pattern: Elf Coat by Regina Weiss from Morale Fiber
Yarn: Hobbii Carnival in color Basel
