During the cold war it used to be there was good dictatorships that were supported by the West/US and bad dictatorships supported by the Soviets, today there's the same norm just with a bit more nuance. #Duterte is being tried at the #ICC for overseeing +10k EJKs, I am certain that #Netanyahu will never be arrested and tried for overseeing 5x more in less than 25% of the time that Duterte had to kill his victims because Duterte is #China's guy

At least 200 different Facebook accounts and pages that publicly posted an identical message that frames any potential arrest of Duterte as "kidnapping" and "illegal detention." Most were posted within the 12-hour window between Duterte's morning arrest and his late-night flight to The Hague, while a number were posted days before and after.

The fact that the #icc is only prosecuting #duterte for 47 murders should scare the #DDS camp.

What it means: they have irrefutable proof on those 47 murders.

What it also means: if the PH government were, by some means, to rescind its cooperation and bring him home, there would still be irrefutable evidence to try him in the #philippines .

As someone who knew multiple victims (at least half of whom had never touched drugs), I'm watching this closely.
