More good personal news: My ophthalmologist says everything looks great after my cataract surgery! The minor odd sensations I was having, almost entirely gone now, are totally normal shortly after cataract surgery and go away as the eye heals.

And I’m thrilled because I can once again read and use my computer (and iPhone) without my glasses.

So now I see the optometrist next Tuesday to get a new prescription for my glasses (which I’ll be using for driving) — with the dreaded “which is better, 1 or 2” exam.

And I see my wonderful optician on Friday to give him that new prescription. Whew! Another project of sorts almost done.

What's going on #today? Not a whole lot really. It's #payday Friday and I'm maxed out on paid time off, so I'm off today. Gotta burn the time. 😀

Yesterday was opening night for the middle school play, the final few performances that the twins will get to do in that building. I'm beyond proud of them.

Tonight is day two, them final performances tomorrow.

#today one meeting and one long workshop (both online) and I was exhausted, so used executive priviledge and 4kWh of solar diverted hot water to have a nice long bath, which has nearly restored calm...

Well...that was good timing...after I did one ride indoors I took a look at the radar and the rain looked far enough away for me to get the first outdoor ride in...it started to rain just as I was pulling up to my garage...so I put the bike away and am going to wait out the couple of hours of rain that is here and then go back out...don't really have anything else to do today so it's going to be an easy one and I'll get some reading in...good morning!

Good morning!

Another day of having my house painted and trying to write. The parts that are finished are beautiful.

Today the painter should finish the living room/dining area, including all the baseboards and trim. Then two days off and he comes back to do the bedroom and office and hallway.

It's a big job. It's going to be great when it's finished.

Have a good one, my friends.
#Today

A new day. A new chance to succeed.

Short night because I stayed up reading. I wanted to finish the book, last in the series. At least for now.

No idea what I'll read next. I have a pile of samples to choose from. Each had something that drew my attention.

Kinda like my days lately.

A few regular tasks that keep me grounded but beyond that, I seldom know what will fill my hours.

Adrift? I used to think so.

Now? I just keep sailing.

May your course meander happily #today

Good morning, y'all. 👋 How are y'all doin on this fine Friday. Well, ok, not so fine. But it IS Friday, finally. So, Happy #TGIF to ya. 👋😁

It looks like the sun is taking a break from shining this morning. It's kinda cloudy n smothering out the rising sun. But it's a warm start to #myday anyway at a pleasant 58deg n heading again into the 80s. I guess the clouds will be hanging around all day. So, I'm not sure if there's any sun soakin in store for me #today.☁️

Ah, well. Everybody n thing needs a break from doin their thing, I suppose. Even the morning sunshine from joining me in my sitting n coffee sipping. 😏

But, I will start #myday sitting n sipping and watching for some sunrise just the same and see what the morning brings me. ☕👍

Y'all have a happy Friday. And may it pass quickly into a pleasant weekend for you. 💪🤗🖖

#today march 27 my 64th birthday

I had a good bday! But I spent a fortune on Uber/Lyft because I can't drive from my rotator cuff surgery

On the way back, I asked the driver if he wanted to listen to music because it could be boring driving thru the mountains. He thought I wanted to listen to my music. I asked him to put on his music

He likes Punjabi rap! I said, "Put it on! So we jammed all the way home. He taught me a lot about being a Sikh

Diversity is amazing!!!!

Today:

- I went to the local garden cafe and everyone else was eating indoors, meaning the only chatter I had to listen to was from the birds

- I started feeling unwell this afternoon, but I’m hopeful it’s not serious. Grateful for painkillers and a negative Covid test 🤞🏼

- I finished reading a good but grim book, and I’m about to start on something lighter

#3GoodThings #Today

1. Did the house chores I had intended to do today.

2. Attended a meeting for a kink org I've recently joined even though I was very low spoons. Came away with a lot to think about and ponder on dynamics and power exchange.

3. It was mostly sunny today so the windows were open and we got to air out the whole house which is SOOOO nice.

#today didn't really go to plan. That's OK. I was still helpful and made some progress anyway.

I slowly felt better over the course of the day. I have no meetings tomorrow and may actively defend that to create more space to recover.

Good personal news: The building inspector was here for about a minute, and all's fine. The electrician also tested all my smoke alarms for me.

Poor Tennessee was not a fan of the smoke alarms or the folks coming into the house, even briefly — but the replace-the-circuit-breaker-box project is now done!

OK, I still have a few things I still need to put back in place after moving them so the work could get done. But there'll be no more workmen to disturb my poor cat.

The painting is continuing. The painter is doing the window trim and doors while waiting for the paint to dry on the walls so he can move the furniture back, and then tomorrow move the furniture from the other side out and do those walls.

It all seems to be going slowly to me, but he's doing a perfectionist's job of it and I know I'll be happy in the end.
