My 4 year old son drew a picture of a imaginary bird on a branch. And a another one today. Almost exactly similar without any reference except memory and imagination. There's something I really like about it.
I have to buy better art supplies for my boys, as they really seem to be more and more interested about drawing.

"I don't kowtow to bullies." I say to my toddler telling me to move over on "her" bed.
My 5-yr-old loves taking pictures and videos, so we let him have Mama's almost-20-year-old digital point-and-shoot.
He thinks using the flash is cool. Our dog, we've just learned, DOES NOT: dog started acting weird like there was gonna be bad weather, but it was just that he thought the flash was lightning.

I'm so jealous of all the videos I see of dads manicuring their lawns already.
I just want to get out there and rake and over-seed and fertilize my precious lawn. Make cute little lawn stripes and then judge my neighbors for their brown, weed-infested grass.
BUT I still have piles of snow on my lawn that haven't melted away yet!
Thirty lonely but beautiful actions you can take right now:
21. Research mutual aid efforts in your area. If there isn’t one near you, research how to start one. Start showing up for their meal drop offs or their trash pick-ups or whatever it is that they’re doing. Discover that it’s simpler and more fun than you imagined. When people ask you how you’re doing, say “I’m trying a new thing– I’m getting involved with ______ mutual aid, have you heard of it?”
22. If you’re a parent, send a letter to your kids school. Tell them thanks, and then ask how you can support them.

My 6 year old: "Why do some of the parents sit in the car for a while before picking their kids up?"
Me thinking: "Probably because they want a moment ot peace."
My response: "Umm...they are probably responding to texts that they couldn't while they were driving."
Things my toddler & @pluralistic have in common:
3. Have received handmade gifts from @resl
4. Have given a lot of thought to the possibility of a new Little Brother

After lecturing my kid on the price of Pokemon cards and how we "can't buy them all", I proceeded to drop $500 on a new Apple Watch.
It's on sale... I saved $70
