While I'm waiting parts for my 4016, I thought I'd take a look at the 4040 disk drive. It's going to need a bit of work....

I was going to power it up but I think I need to clean up the drives first and get the heads moving freely.

The motherboard is, as always, clean and tidy as it sits on the underside of the lid so it never gets dirt landing on it. And it also looks like it has DOS 2.0 ROMs so that's a start.

Commodore 4040 disk drive with two 5 and a quarter inch floppy disk drives. The two disk drives will need some work as it has been in a barn for a while - I will concentrate on cleaning and making sure that the heads move smoothly before I power it on.
