OTOH, considering https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2024/04/cops-can-force-suspect-to-unlock-phone-with-thumbprint-us-court-rules/ - what if your're arrested (for whatever reason) and you happen to have an RJ-45 connector in your head?
What if, during a job interview, your're told that a -one-way- "mind meld" is a non-negotiable requirement?
What if "correct" thoughts can be uploaded to your brain (or is "downloaded" more appropriate)? And/or "bad" thoughs can be deleted or overwritten?
I see advantages for disabled people, but this technology mostly scares the hell out of me.
