So, why didn't I transition into a dude? I did try taking Testosterone. Too much of a good thing for me. I was happy with the amount I had naturally. But the Estrogen...? Damn! If I knew about Estrogen Blockers, I might have taken them before Menopause. Less E made me a happy camper -- like before I hit puberty. Just saying. One size does NOT fit all! And we don't need #GenderFascists telling us what WE NEED! #FuckGenderFascism #BornThisWay

So, TBH, if I had known #PubertyBlocking drugs existed, I would have taken them. I probably woudn't have taken T, but I was happiest before estrogen entered my life -- and I'm way happier now that it has left my life. And I can identify with my #transgender friends of both genders -- and it's all about what matching what we feel on the inside with our physical forms on the outside.

The evolution of same-sex sexual behaviour in mammals

by José M. Gómez, A. Gónzalez-Megías & M. Verdú

Published: 03 October 2023

"Same-sex sexual behaviour, that is, any attempted sexual activity between members of the same sex, has been reported in over 1500 animal species, including all main groups from invertebrates such as insects, spiders, echinoderms, and nematodes, to vertebrates such as fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals. Same-sex sexual behaviour is particularly prevalent in nonhuman primates, where it has been observed in at least 51 species from lemurs to apes. This sexual behaviour is not limited to one sex or to the existence of artificial conditions, as it has been observed in males and females both in captivity and in wild conditions. Same-sex sexual behaviour is also frequent in humans, existing throughout most of our history and in many societies and cultures."

NatureThe evolution of same-sex sexual behaviour in mammals - Nature CommunicationsThere is still no consensus on the factors favouring the evolution of same-sex sexual behaviour in mammals. This study presents evidence that it is a widespread behaviour that has evolved repeatedly in mammals, and that may play an adaptive role in bonding and conflict resolution.
