Today's Tune Tuesday theme today is #StormyNights - songs about darkness, lightning, and thunder. I really hope this doesn't awaken something in the weather, because I have to be outside a lot today.

#JohnnyCash – The Legend (1970)

This is as close to #country #music as I can get and still enjoy it.

It doesn't include Ring of Fire, which is a shame.

I appreciate how short the songs are. Get in - Get to the point - Move on.

The record conditions are trash and the sleeve is held together with prayers. But for this one, the dusty grooves feel right.

"A Boy Named Sue" is a song written by #ShelSilverstein and made famous by #JohnnyCash. Cash recorded the song live in concert on February 24, 1969, at California's #SanQuentinStatePrison for his #AtSanQuentin album. Cash also performed the song (with comical variations on #theOriginal performance) in December 1969 at #Madison Square Garden. The live San Quentin version of the song became Cash's biggest hit on the #Billboard Hot 100 chart.
