Paying bills at the end of the month has become so painful. Aside from the actual financial details, I still have to block ads from apartment complex, phone company, etc. after uBlock Origin does its thing. Some of these are really shameful, like offering to split rent payments to every two weeks if you take out a pay-day loan at crazy interest rates every month. Then I'm also blocking "AI answers" when I shouldn't have to search so hard to find "Pay Bill" in the first place. No, I'm too close to the edge to turn on autopay, just charge me $10 more a month to subject me to more ads, thanks. Then when I do pay it's "Looks like something went wrong! Please try again." and an email confirming payment in my inbox.
If your website only works in a specific browser without #adblock, it's broken. Don't try to gaslight people otherwise.
This is what the internet looks like to people who use ad blockers and vpn.
Id wager only around 10% or so of the internet is actually "free".
I found this slightly amusing. New, to me, anti-AdBlock efforts

The page appears to load normally at first. After a few seconds, the letters on the page visually jumbled into jibberish. (Hmm. After reloading the page a few times & switching from Reader View & back, it appears that I can now read the full article. Oh well. )
Such a silly effort. IMO.

It is far from perfect, but I wrote a quick guide on setting up an #Openbsd #router

1. #AdBlock and #Tracking Blocking on Android is easy.
Use a Browser like #Ironfox with #UBlockOrigin in advanced mode, and block known tracking Javascript that way.
Solved, no #Metapixel, #GoogleAnalytics, #YandexMetrica, #CloudflareInsights and whatever else exists out there. It is blocked from loading or executing, so it can't listen on your localhost either.

I knew it was only a matter of time until Erik found out I was skipping his Raycon ads with #Sponsorblock

@timnitGebru <https://archive.md/YAMUI> removes the modal Advert, if you #AdBlock.
Google Australia is increasing the price of youtube premium family plan to $40AUD a month. What a fucking joke. It was too expensive at the last increase ($32/month), but the wife begged me she didnt want to deal with adblockers.
This might be the end of it, no features or value in that increase.

This is one important reason why you should rip yourself away from closed source underlords
The destruction of your privacy by ripping your adblock extensions a new #rsehole
I stopped using Alphabet's google chrome 100% before this came into effect
It wasn't just 30 million people using this extension by the way it was much much more (close to 300 million users?)
Manchmal fühlt sich der Kampf für die (eigene) #informationelleSelbstbestimmung - den #Datenschutz - aussichtslos an,
ich möchte daher daran erinnern, dass auch kleine Schritte etwas bewirken können:
* Nutzt einen Ad- und Tracking-Blocker (#uBlockOrigin)
* Ändert die Standardsuchmaschine(auch wenn ihr diese nicht zu 100% nutzt) (#DuckDuckGo #Ecosia #Qwant #SwissCows)
* Wechselt den #Browser(#FireFox #Brave #LibreWolf)
