#The100DayProject continues. Many squares are knitted.
The gradient squares are all from the same skein of Schoppel-Wolle Reggae Ombré #yarn.
The little lonely grey one is Teetee Alpakka
The two marled green ones are with a mystery yarn and Gienn Filati Fantasia.
The last two green ones are Sandnes alfa.

I've always wanted to learn a 2- colored brioche knit. One of my favorite pullovers was made with that. Mistakes were made but that's OK.

7 knitted squares in various yarns on a sofa. There is a selection of garter stitch, stockinette stitch, lace patterns, and brioche. The yarns are mostly relatively thick, except for a thin alpaca in dark grey.

Let's talk about blocking your crochet pieces. Blocking is magic and can bring your project to a whole new level.
Swipe to see what this snowflake ornament looked like before and during blocking. In this case I was also working with starch, which I don't do for shawls. But it's useful for an ornament.
By the way - you don't need expensive equipment to block something. In this case, I used a kids' playmat and some pins. You could also use a folded up towel.

Had my yarn swift clamped firmly to the sturdy kitchen chair to wind up a skein of beautiful sky blue mohair lace yarn into a ball. Husband was there with me and we were talking while I carefully wound the yarn.
Teddy the big grey boy cat came casually sauntering along and reached his paw up to catch the yarn strand while i was winding, because cat. I shushed him away but not before he caught the strand in his claw, turned and took off at high speed while somehow getting the yarn wrapped around his hind leg, giving him a fright. Through the kitchen and off down the hall he flies, making the swift spin round at supersonic speed, yarn flying, chair and swift finally crashing to the floor.
Suddenly it was over. Teddy nowhere to be seen, swift and chair on the floor, yarn snapped in two and going all the way down the hall.
For the rest of the winding, Teddy got locked in the bedroom. At some point during the knitting of my next sweater, I'll come to the knot where the mohair yarn had snapped apart, and I'll remember Teddy's Great Swift Adventure of today.

Included in the box is a copy of the HarperCollins hardback edition of the book, a postcard, a pin badge and a bookmark.

Calling all those who signed up for The Wheel of the Year - Ostara Yarn Box, it's time for the big reveal!

Introducing 'Ostara', a 100g skein of hand dyed 100% British Bluefaced Leicester 4 ply high twist sock yarn. There are two skeins in each box.

Included in the box is a a Wendy Andrews Ostara card and a bag of flower stitch markers, a tin candle, soap and vanilla tea.

The pattern for this beauty is called "Dandelion Lane" and the yarn I used reminded me of a Dandelion growing out of a street. Amazing little resilient plants! Also - the shawl has Glitter. Most things are better with Glitter.
