I spent a lovely week with my family, I've exercised and today I've seen a few friends. Now I'd need another week to stay calm, clean my place, and tidy up my things.

I can now say that I am officially employed once again!

My offer letter arrived in my inbox a bit ago and it has been signed and submitted.

I will start on-boarding/orientation on Monday at 9am EST.

This is a bit lower salary than what I wanted, but it's at least something to bring in some money and not just us living off what we have in the bank.

I am super happy to announce that I have been offered a position at a company doing customer support related stuff like I've been doing for years.

I just have to pass the background check, which shouldn't be a problem, then orientation and on-boarding should start on September 9th, which is less than two weeks away.

It'll be nice to get back to work so soon after being laid off three weeks and two days ago.

Only 4 more days (inc. weekend) of summer holiday left, I'm taking an early dive into my inbox to try to reduce the #BackToWork anxiety.

Any guesses on how many emails I'll have accumulated in 2.5 weeks?

Wish me luck.

As much as I'm trying to block this out, it is creeping in. Many of us are returning to work tomorrow and dreading it. My question though is for the capitalist, bosses, and greedy CEOs and board members. Do y'all dread 3-day weekends, holidays, and extended days off for your employees, resentful to the fact that they actually have some enjoyment on a Monday and you aren't profiting from it? #backtowork #capitalism

There are two different degrees of Mondays.

We have the normal Monday, after a regular weekend, where it's like, "Didn't the weekend just start yesterday," Monday.

And then we have the Monday that happens after a long holiday weekend, and it's like, "who in the fuck put this here," Monday..
