Tonight's chana-masala-making #music is #TheyMightBeGiants monster of an album, "Flood" [ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flood_(T ]

This was one of the most influential albums of me in my 20-something nerddom. I knew from that day pop music had a future in spite of the painful absence of Pink Floyd and Queen.

"Birdhouse In Your Soul" was an anthem for me and all my Renfaire Crew for many years after.

Flood remains one of the most memorable albums of my lifetime.

Today’s listening is ‘Flood’, the 1990 album by They Might Be Giants.

A terrific album from TMBG, this, containing “the big hit” that was ‘Birdhouse In Your Soul’, along with other great tracks such as 'Letterbox' and 'Twisting'.

My German pressing of this album comes with an insert bearing all the song lyrics translated into German (for some odd reason!). So, anyone for ‘Vogelhaus In Deiner Seele’?!
