"Shame Day"

June 14th Every Town and City.

Organise Shame Day in every city, bigger than the "ordered praise of the dictator day"

Commemorate rhe shame of having a dictator, if having an American Military Parade, rhe shame of having a dictator demanding praise, the shame of democracies defenders being used as ego candy by a rich draft dodger, the shame of becoming a joke before nations.

I have a president and I want him dressed in black. No colour anymore just have him dressed in black.
I see mourners walk by dressed in the proper clothes. I have to turn my head as my embarrassment grows.
I see a group of leaders. They're all dressed in black.
None complaining of their seating like that whining sack.
He holds his hand out but they quickly turn away. Like a newborn baby he behaves like this every fucking day.

A thought for this Holy Week.

Crucifixion was not about execution; not really. There are much easier ways to accomplish that. It isn't even about torture, though it was torturous.

Crucifixion is a means of shaming someone into oblivion. It is an extreme form of bullying: one in which the Roman goons assert dominance by publicly degrading their victim to death.

There are several clues in the gospel stories that the shame of crucifixion was far worse than we imagine.

I say this not to dwell on suffering. But if you have suffered shame and degradation; if you have been disposed of and mocked and your reputation destroyed; you are in the best of company. They did this to Jesus. And the shaming of this righteous man is turned right back on his bullies in the crucifixion. The mirror Jesus holds up to our lives, that we might see ourselves more truly, now casts that shame back on them.

God is the bullied one, and the one who stands against all bullies. He endures even this for our sake; and in the end, his Father raises him from the grave to new life. He is vindicated. And in him, so are you.

This is absolutely wild, a massive & total failure by #CTV.

The fact that #RachelGilmore is incessantly targeted & harassed by right-wing, Poilievre supporting agitators & trolls *is* part of the election. The attacks on journalists, the misinformation, disinformation, threats & silencing is *in of itself* an important part of the news of the #election happening in #Canada right now & CTV, instead of reporting on it, has decided to duck for cover. #shame

On 10th October, the #Labour Government published the Employment Rights Bill (ERB), promised as part of their manifesto and the Plan to Make Work Pay.

Today, we learn that various measures within this bill: such as Zero Hours Contracts, Day One protection from dismissal, and Fire and Re-hire will be diluted and or removed as #Reeves' advisers have told her that they hamper growth.

To me, it represents another matter that Labour has rowed back from to chase the capitalist money God
