Wenn ein Buchsetzer ein von einem Laien gesetztes Buch in die Hand bekommt, wird er als erstes ein beidseitig bedrucktes Blatt gegen das Licht halten: Überprüfung der Registerhaltigkeit. Wenn zwischen den Zeilen graue Schatten der Rückseite erscheinen, ist das Buch nicht professionell gesetzt.

Bei Libreoffice muss man bei der Seitenvorlage "Seitenzeilenabstand verwenden" anklicken, dann macht das Programm das automatisch.

So sehen Seiten aus, wenn sie nicht registerhaltig gesetzt sind. Die Vorderseite ist schwarz, die Rückseite schlägt grau durch. Das Schriftbild ist insgesamt verwaschen und unscharf.

Book crafting has been living in head non stop ever since i've read my first fanfiction novel. I just had to have certain works on my bookshelf and so i did :blob_rave: This project began with scoring a second-hand inkjet printer for just 8€. The Epson stylus SX235W is old but it still works just fine. I have working ink cartridges for it too, so it is just a matter of refilling them with ink and resetting the chips, and i saw many offers on local marketplace where people sell old ink cartridges for pennies so the whole operation should be inexpensive at worse

The act of administrating #selfpublishing is a very special hell. I wish I had the time and the skills to fix a little bit of this mess. I started some years ago to write some tool for aggregating reporting numbers but my skills of reading data from file and aggregate them are basically non existent.

I wrote a script that takes the round and crestes different versions of it with Links to the store which sre not supported by UBl platforms and the ~200 EUR software.

Really all universal booklink platforms are a pain in the ass. Either they cost a shitton of money, do only support a specific subset of online stores, are totally US centric or build links to stores in an old URL scheme the store does not support any more. *sigh*
I know how this should be to be a good store in just do not have time or skills to do it *sigh*
