We did a #road and #rail #trip from #Saskatchewan through #Alberta to #BritishColumbia, it was 4,761 km. Or Lisbon to Vienna to Stockholm. #Canada is an amazing country because you can travel to so many amazing #nations and #experience so many #cultures within it.
We travel in and through at least 18 #FirstNations lands, some #treaty, some #unceded. Check out native-land.ca/ to see more traditional homelands of #indigenous people.

#Chicago, #Minneapolis & #Detroit have also joined the list of worst #air worldwide in recent days.

Much of #Canada is under #AirQuality alerts. The worst of the conditions is focused on parts of #Saskatchewan and the urban southeast that borders with the #US.

It’s a similar story for the northern states around the #GreatLakes into the Northeast. Much of #Minnesota, all of #Wisconsin, #Michigan, & much of #NewYork are under air quality alerts.

A new #emergency declaration was issued
for #Manitoba late last week as 13k people remain evacuated across east-central portions of the province, near the border with #Ontario, acc/to local reports.

In neighboring #Saskatchewan, a fast-moving fire surrounded the village of #Beauval on Sunday. It was one of dozens of #wildfires burning in the province.

#BritishColumbia has also witnessed massive conflagrations. In the province’s NE, as much as 30% of #forest is expected to burn this season.
