An intriguing, often quite beautiful album.

Despite being an 8-ish person "collective" group, many of the tracks are quite minimalist, with repeated short guitar figures forming a base, and other instruments and noises fading in and out of the mix.

Sometimes the music sounds like it's coming from a faraway hill, just audible as you walk along...sometimes raucous chaos suddenly pops up around a corner.

caroline - caroline LP cover. A sandy, rocky shoreline with what looks to be a WWII pillbox. There are there people - one carrying a ladder, one up near a window, one standing in front. The black LP plays on a vintage, restored Bang & Olufsen Beogram 4000 linear-tracking turntable to the right.
