All the talk that 10 min head ways on LRT Line 1 in #ottawa as fine and normal and no big deal as other cities do this. And I’d hazard that like the other cities, leadership don’t ever take transit in off peak hours. Oh, some people don’t feel safe taking public transit? I said a long time ago, Ford seems like the next choice for the #conservative leader if Pierre shits the bed in this election but I’m unsure the real policy differences between Ford and what the federal liberals are becoming. Maybe less corruption around the edges, and fucking stupid car-related decisions but is Ford going to run for the conservatives or liberals at this point? I think more extremist parties could flourish past the election, esp in provinces like #alberta #cdnpoli #onpoli

I’m unsure any radical action will happen for people in #canada actually dealing with the unaffordability crisis, action for labour, action for healthcare and public transit. I get Carney is a reaction to #trump and Pierre but I’m uncertain it’s a good thing beyond this next election. Pushing through pipelines by defanging environmental laws and protections may make #alberta happy for a day but let’s not pretend more than that #cdnpoli #onpoli

I mean #fuckcars all day, every day, but there’s a million reasons why a $10,000 good sized Seagull EV is better than 95% of other EVs in the North American market. And Chinese manufacturers are outselling most other EVs makers in Europe. I’d rather see massive expansion in public transit vehicle manufacturing and, again, fuck cars every day all day but I’m also not blind to the economy in Ontario #canada #ontario #onpoli
