In Oregon they have easy #MailinVoting the govt sends the ballot to all registered folks
NY folks can request a ballot by webpage, get a code and from another webpage download the ballot and the security sheet with barcode, then print them and post mail the letter

When I lived in Japan, I always got a ballot from WA state with plenty of time to vote and send it back.

According to the DeSantis administration, this is intended to reduce 'voter fraud', though, as the article notes, very little fraud has actually occurred. None, if looking at systematic fraud capable of altering election results.
