Congratulations to our colleagues at the Scottish Haggis Action Group for establishing the world's first and only Haggis Conservation Zone on the shores of Loch Lomond in Scotland.
If you choose to visit, please follow the guidelines they provide to avoid undue levels of disturbance and risk of injury from over-amourous male haggis!
A statue of the Glaswegian broadcaster, writer, climber and all round outdoor enthusiast Tom Weir at Balmaha on the banks of Loch Lomond. Unveiled in 2014 to mark the centenary of his birth, it was created by the sculptor Sean Hedges-Quinn.
Looking out across a misty Loch Lomond from Rowerdennan yeaterday afternoon. This is another of the wonderful locations you can reach within an hour of Glasgow, unless you're walking the West Highland Way. If you are, it'll probably take you a couple of days or so to get here. The view's well worth the effort, though.
(1/2) The very beautiful valley between Ben Vane and Beinn Ime.
One of the great things about living in Glasgow is how close you are to some truly wild places, and with the promise of a rather wonderful sunny Spring day ahead, this morning I got up early and headed out of the city. This a tree I came across at Firkin Point on the west bank of Loch Lomond.
A photo taken shortly after we found ourselves at the top of Conic Hill in a thunderstorm.

Looking across Loch Lomond from Conic Hill above Balmaha on the east side of the Loch. The islands (and Conic Hill) mark the Highland Boundary Fault which is the geological boundary between the Central Lowlands and Highlands of Scotland.
210 x 300 mm brass plate etching I made using sugar lift to get the outlines of the hills and islands and then aquatinted and Spit Bite etched.
