Everyone knows that this was #Howard doing the #Libs over because without diluting liberal policies to open the door for everyone that wasn’t a #Labor voter (or #Green for that matter) meant defeat at the next elections. The #Sinodinos call to ‘broad church’ is an admission that the #LNP cannot garner enough vote for the next election solely on centre-right ‘liberal’ policies and must therefore slide further to the right to buy off RWNJs votes in the electorate. Back to the Future for Arthur it seems.

Apologies about that. My elder leftist spidey senses still suggests this may turn into a cop riot OR just chuds fighting liberals if the lib crowd is too small. So please don't go into this thinking its low risk.

Well, it will take a little longer than planned, but Well Done, Angus.

We'll soon see the back of #Sussan and #NukedTed as there is a #LibSpill as a result of the #LibNatBreakup and a new party room vote.

Probably post 1 July when the new senate arrives, with a few Sussan votes departing on June 30.

That will swing the #Libs further to the right, so they'll be closer to the #nats but both will be damaged by the #LibNatBreakup. Sure, they'll have sloppy sex with the ex in the Prayer room, before attempting a trial reconciliation, but they're a spent force.

The #Libs can try to blame Trump all they like, but they deliberately chose to flirt openly with many of his worst policies, to fly his colours and at first praise him and pretend they could deal with him.
So sucks boo to them, blatant hypocrites.

These are the candidates running in my electorate.
Four candidates from what I call ‘crazies’ parties
Four Independents I would lump as progressive #Libs
Two in the #National Party box
Three standing for #progressive social policies
(I’ll let you guess which candidate I’ve pidgeon holed in the above boxes)

3 out of 13 says all there is to say about politics in regional Australia. We just gotta do better folks or we’ll be voting idiots in forever.

Summary is I can only vote for three of them with conviction. The remainder will all have to fight for the last place on my ballot (the Libertarian ONLEY is running favourite for that honour)
