UPDATE: This coffee is actually not bad! The scorching shows up in the aroma but not in the taste — and I drank the whole cup not out a of sense of obligation, but because I was enjoying it. In my life I have been served many cups of coffee far worse than that.

Adventures in home coffee roasting, now with home-grown coffee, product of a houseplant that got a little out of hand.
I am not optimistic this “hothouse coffee” will taste good, but at least I managed to get these guys past the first crack. It took quite a while!
Very uneven roast. Quite a lot of scorching. 29 grams of beans roasted down to 23 grams.
Now to rest the beans for a day or two.
