We finally watched Everything Everywhere All at Once. I know, I'm behind. I'm always behind. Anyway:

As the credits rolled, I turned to my wife and said, "...I think that was the best movie I've ever seen?"

Like watching a Philosophy dissertation wrapped in an action-comedy-drama. Deserving of every accolade it earned and more. Just brilliant storytelling that embraces and confronts contemporary ennui in powerful ways. And it's inspirational in how it makes other movies/stories seem lazy by comparison.

Beyond that, all I'll say is, "Bravo."

We watched #EverythingEverywhereAllAtOnce for the first time last night. What an utterly gorgeous mind-trip of an entertaining movie. I can't pick one thing to describe my reaction to, because I loved EVERYTHING 😄 about it. So...screenshots!

And, as the daughter of a mother as well as the mother of a daughter, I just have to say...the mother-daughter-mother relationship is COMPLICATED.

6/n #ClimateDiary Today, in response to all the thought-provoking replies to this 🧵yesterday, an EDIT to post 2, above: it was not right to dismiss misgivings about #COP28 as cynical; and also to try and steer people! Just wanted to clarify that am not saying that focusing on #COP28 is the only thing that we should all be doing now, on the contrary, we need #EverythingEverywhereAllAtOnce. Just that for now i feel i want to pay attention & thought i could share things here.
