New car registrations fall in Europe and Tesla sees another drop.

New car registrations in the European Union fell in the first five months compared to the previous year, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA).

The share of battery-electric vehicles increased further, representing 15.4% of the market, although ACEA said that it is “still far from where it needs to be.”

@susankayequinn I’ve been a bit cool on residential, single-home solar, as well as passenger #EVs. Like, why are we asking ppl to privatize energy at $40k a pop? Or how about a commitment to walkable/rollable communities rather than more cars for more gridlock?

However, this article provides more nuance to, and insight about, the costs and benefits. Worth the read!

“…the goal should be to have a community system of green energy that’s resilient for everyone, and the grid plays a key part of that.”
