I'm a huge fan of #EVs. Own one & widely recommend them. I hope Tesla survives as an EV manufacturer, but reckon they need to completely split from Musk & his ketamine(?) fever dreams to do so.

I'm not anti most Tesla owners, especially those buying before the insanities.

Reasons I won't buy/recommend a Tesla:
*Musk
*[vapourware] no really, it's coming soon, we promise (again)
*Musk
*No model that suits my needs
*Musk

One change could fix 4 of those 😉

Electric vehicles (EVs) have zero exhaust emissions, meaning they don't emit pollutants like CO₂, NOx, or engine particulate matter while driving but are not emission-free.

Battery production is energy-intensive and produces significant CO₂ emissions, especially if powered by fossil fuels.

Mining for lithium, cobalt, and nickel & other metals also causes environmental damage and emissions.

If the electricity used to charge the EV comes from fossil fuels, emissions are still created at the power plant.

EVs produce particulate pollution from brake and tyre wear, though regenerative braking can reduce this.

Are They Benign? Not entirely due to battery production and electricity sourcing issues. The environmental impact can be minimized by improving battery recycling, using clean energy, and responsible mining practices.

There. I've said it.

Do any #electricvehicles ( #EVs ) have isolated controls? That the Leaf CVEs were possible is ridiculous.

I want to buy an EV. I don't want to find out in 10 years that it doesn't get updates and some clown released a worm which pwns the steering.
