"I drive an electric vehicle because I am poor,"
A good explanatory article about why Chinese #EVs are showing Western companies how to make EVs.
Another good quote, and probably the reason traditional car companies are so far behind: "The rich drive petrol cars because they have unlimited resources,"
Unfortunately also some grumpy old man quotes, no doubt "for balance", but it's a BBC article.

"The #Senate version of the #Republicans' tax bill won’t just add trillions of dollars to the deficit through a massive giveaway to wealthy elites, it will also take the US Postal Service’s awesome new #EVs and sell them off for pennies on the dollar, wasting money simply out of spite for vehicles that were already cleaning your air and making your community safer." electrek.co/2025/06/22/republi

Serious question for owners of non-Tesla electric vehicles (EV). Please boost for more response.

Please, this question is only for those EV owners who do not own a Tesla.

>>> QUESTION : Do you use Tesla-branded charging stations to charge your non-Tesla EV?

Two complaints I hear about #EVs are their awful lane keeping software, & phantom braking in "self driving" modes. I turn lane keep off every drive (easy-peasy - I don't like the feel), & phantom braking is rare, & only while in cruise on curvy roads. It's only been unexpected slowing, not hard braking.

Today I needed to hire a newish Toyota #diseasel van. It did the job it was hired to do, but it too had awful lane keeping, & unexpected braking kept happening.

🤔

It's not an #EV thing!
