click.actionnetwork.orgSign to demand Congressmembers denounce Trump’s illegal, unprecedented deployment of troops against U.S. protesters Trump’s order to mobilize troops against civilian protesters in LA is a dangerous and illegal abuse of power. His order also included a first-ever preemptive authorization from a president to deploy the military in future U.S. protests. Which means that what Trump is doing in LA could soon spread to other cities—unless we make enough noise to stop it. Too many members of Congress have been silent as Trump uses the military against civilian U.S. protesters. Some have even voted to steal hundreds of billions of dollars from our communities to expand Trump’s militarized deportation machine. We need Congressmembers to forcefully push back against Trump’s fascist attacks on our rights, including condemning this latest deployment of troops and voting against funding for Trump’s illegal actions. Add your name to call on Congressmembers: Denounce Trump’s illegal deployment of the military against U.S. civilian protesters. Speak out against this unprecedented attempt to squash our right to dissent!
click.actionnetwork.orgDefend Public Education from Trump Trump just launched a full-scale assault on public education. An executive order signed by Trump instructed Education Secretary Linda McMahon to dismantle the Department of Education. This means, $18 billion for Title I schools, $215 million for rural education, and as much as $268 billion in critical funding for Pell Grants, student loans, and disabled students are on the chopping block. These cuts will devastate communities that rely most on federal support including low-income urban districts, rural towns with limited tax bases, students of color, first-generation college students, and children with disabilities. We must do everything we can to stop this and restore as much as possible as fast as possible. Governors are on the front lines. We must demand they step up now. Click ‘START WRITING’ to sign and send your direct message calling on your Governor to defend public education: stop cuts, fill gaps, and demand Trump restore the Department of Education now.
click.actionnetwork.orgSign to tell Congress, federal courts, and the U.S. Marshals Service: Take urgent action now to defend our due process rights and stop Trump’s fascist repression! Still illegally detaining Mahmoud Khalil, the Trump administration has continued to detain and deport more immigrants, including students and workers here with green cards and valid visas. Secretary of State Marco Rubio says he’s monitoring student visa holders’ social media posts and aiming to deport people who criticize the U.S. government. Many of these actions violate federal judges’ orders, and all of them violate our constitutional rights to free speech and due process, which apply to everyone in the United States regardless of immigration status. By defying federal courts and even threatening to impeach federal judges who’ve blocked his unconstitutional actions, Trump and his administration have brought us to an unprecedented constitutional crisis. As laid out in the Constitution, the federal judiciary branch of government is obligated to provide a check on unconstitutional actions from the legislative branch (Congress) and the executive branch (the president). But leaders in Trump’s administration, including Attorney General Pam Bondi, have vowed to continue defying court orders—such as the order blocking deportations to notoriously dangerous prisons in El Salvador. Bondi has even claimed that judges don’t have the right to block Trump’s actions, which is an outrageous lie. Trump and his administration are not only violating human and constitutional rights, they’re also undermining one of the most fundamental principles of our democracy: the system of checks and balances between branches of government. This is a threat to all of us. The U.S. Marshals Service specifically has the power to enforce federal court orders, but it’s overseen by Trump’s Department of Justice as well as federal courts. Despite their connection to the Trump administration, we need U.S. Marshals—as well as the judiciary and legislative branches of government—to act immediately as checks to Trump’s power. Sign to demand the U.S. Marshals Service, Congress, and federal courts act as necessary checks to Trump’s fascist repression. These institutions must urgently defend our constitutional rights, including the right to due process.

click.actionnetwork.orgTell the Senate to protect civil society from dangerous executive overreach. Reject the nonprofit killer bill H.R. 9495 now! Here’s the danger: H.R. 9495, the Tax Penalties on American Hostages Act, would give the Treasury Secretary unchecked power to revoke a nonprofit’s tax-exempt status, by merely claiming -- with no evidence or due process -- that the organization is linked to terrorism. It’s been dubbed the “Nonprofit Killer”. With Trump returning to office in a matter of weeks, the chance he uses legislation like this to make good on his repeated promises to punish his political enemies and critics, possibly including Win Without War, is sky high. That’s why we, alongside hundreds of civil liberties, religious, reproductive health, immigrant rights, human rights, racial justice, LGBTQ+, environmental, and educational organizations have been unequivocal in our opposition to H.R 9495. We can’t overstate how important this legislative moment is, but the troubling reality is that it’s just the beginning of a whole new era. With a Republican-led Congress and Trump administration working hand-in-hand, we’re certain to see more bad bills like this in the new year. The good news? If the outcry from you is loud enough now, even MAGA Republicans may think twice about taking on — and hopefully losing — the same fight twice. So here’s where you come in: Tell the Senate to reject H.R. 9495, and protect nonprofits and civil society from dangerous executive overreach.

2024DEC07 “Fact Sheet: DoD Strategy for countering unmanned systems”

“The rapid development and proliferation of unmanned systems is changing the character of conflict. To meet this challenge, the Department of Defense (DoD) has developed a #classified strategy to unify the Department’s approach to countering #adversary use of these systems that looks across domains, characteristics, missions, and timeframes.
The #strategy builds on other major #DoD initiatives, including the standup of the Joint Counter-Small #UAS Office, the establishment of a Warfighter Senior Integration Group to meet urgent operational needs, and the launch of the #Replicator2 initiative to #defend against the threats of small aerial systems at our most critical installations and force concentrations.”

The #maga mob once again thrusting violence at the direction of the felon. Why are so many so blind to this? Why are we tolerating this? Are we prepared for ballot tabulating locations being attacked? Are we prepared for the crazy shit these people constantly show they want to and are capable of doing? These people are primed and we must be prepared to #defend our #democracy .
