A tiny satellite has enabled quantum-encrypted information to be sent between China and South Africa, the farthest distance yet achieved for quantum communication.
The team’s system is drastically smaller and cheaper that previous attempts, and they think it represents a big step towards the creation of a global network of secure, quantum communication.

But the randos that make up Trump and Musk’s rotating orbit... also appear to be accessing this data using all manner of unsecured personal devices... Musk is casually integrating Starlink systems into the White House telecom network for no coherent reason... “Starlink, the satellite internet service operated by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, is now accessible across the White House campus. The White House network is rife with gigabit capable fiber and gigabit-capable Wi-Fi that can far exceed anything Starlink delivers. Starlink would be a clearly inferior, slower, connectivity option.

Ed, it all depends on perspective. Right now, if #America were to invade #Canada, the #F16's we had been using as ALLIES of the #US would be rendered useless the moment their #MilitaryIndustrialComplex flipped the "kill switch" on those jets. America's #ODIN program controls #communications and targeting equipment, among other things. Once that kill switch is engaged, our pilots would be flying blind. Useless.

We can't depend on America anymore. We need our own planes.
