I went shopping at Aldi for the first time after a failed attempt a few years ago (no quarter or bags).

It was more bare and open than I expected, with fewer selections than most grocery stores, and even many places that sell groceries on the side, like Target, but the prices were good, some of them fantastic ($2.99 for a pint of strawberries), and I was shocked at the apparent high quality of their fresh salmon.

So... Target, among others, has ended its commitment to DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) to "comply" with the Trump administration. What have they gotten in return? Tariffs that do nothing but hurt their business. Id call that karma.

Have I bought anything from Target before? Yes. My daughter loves visiting it. Will we continue shopping there? No.

Target, a major U.S.A. retailer, just decided to end their DEI initiatives. However, in starting those initiatives a few years ago, the retailer did include more products from Black-owned businesses. These partnerships between a large national retailer and mostly small Black-owned businesses allowed the latter to grow, to hire, and to develop a more constant income stream. So, if you want to properly boycott Target, go there and only shop these products. Nothing else - get everything else you need elsewhere.
