Congrats to Cowichan—Malahat—Langford BC - who voted strategically and elected Kibble, the Con candidate who skipped the all-candidate meetings in favor of doing townhalls instead with his hunting Trump buddy because, as said Trump buddy explained to his fans on his social media account, the CPC does not allow Con candidates to do all candidates meetings.
This riding has been NDP for 14 years with the Libs coming 3rd or 4th -- but now it's Con.

@stephaniepixie

totally, they aren't a sign of us, or them, wanting them to work together. but, for all of our votes to matter, not slide into the 2-party crapshoot we see in #mairikkka.

i want the parties to work together, only to the extent that we are not fucked with anyone's majority government. then...i want the electoral system to stop majority governments, with #PR. #MMPR is my preferred model.

@MatWright
The two incumbent #NDP swing ridings in #BC both went Conservative because the Libs were more willing to risk losing some seats than negotiating strategic voting deals where one candidate in each riding stepped down to secure a sure non Con winner in both

Turns out the Libs didn’t need it luckily

But not a good sign for a multi-party democracy

Not like there’s any motivation for #ElectoralReform from the winners after another #FPTP victory like this

The quote below says it all. The system here is so broken there's nothing to DEAL with people with poor mental health rather than just recycling them and having the police constantly put them in custody/jail. Mental health workers in this province would much rather say "I'm not paid enough to deal with this shit."

Don't let me become another statistic like him. I've lost my entire support circle in the last few weeks and have been on edge myself.
