@LostReflector have seen them live twice now ~ they are focusing almost solely on very traditional (in intentional contrast to the most of them do in their other bands) it's cool to see their excellence in this more historical genre also

@LostReflector ps in fact had a brief conversation with Chris "Critter" Eldridge about this and he mentioned how these players first got together back in 2019 or something at a festival I think and decided they wanted to create a band to show off their love for old-timey but then took over 2 years to get the album done because they were all so busy with their main projects + the pandemic interruptions of course

@tuneslist @LostReflector so very similar in spirit and reason to the formation of the Bluegrass Album Band, then. Which makes total sense.

@mrcompletely @tuneslist yeah stuff I read (including that NPR article) specifically mentions the Bluegrass Album Band
