It's so strange how the harvest of fruit trees can vary from year to year!
I wish I had that problem - too many #persimmons! I would definitely prove you wrong about those numbers!

I smooshed two plastic grocery bags worth of persimmons, today, and froze the pulp, and rinsed the seeds and got... A LOT.
I'll sow some in situ, cold stratify some, and.... perhaps trade some.

#OTD Frank Meyer, Dutch-American #Plant Explorer, is born.
Frank's introduced 2,500 new plants, including the beautiful #Korean #Lilac, #Apricots, Wild #Pears, #Ginkgo, and #Persimmons.
The Meyer #Lemon was named in his honor. Frank found it growing in the doorway of a family home in #Peking. The Lemon is thought to be a hybrid of a standard lemon and #Mandarin #Orange.
