A recent discussion on open-source Photoshop alternatives (https://mastodon.design/@candidexmedia/114558704815706042) led me down a rabbit hole of image background removal in @Krita.

Turns out there's a fantastic third-party plugin which can accurately select an object inside an image by clicking or drawing a box!

I do most of my #screenshots with the default tool from @gnome. Sometimes, however, when I like to highlight elements, I prefer to use #Shutter. https://shutter-project.org

Today, I accidentally came across this older article from @itsfoss and learned, you can actually also use @GIMP for taking screenshots. (file > create > screenshot)

It''s pretty cool if editing is necessary since it opens the image in #Gimp.
