Davidl've been working on reticello recently and tried to layer silver leaf in between the cups (a good suggestion from Bill Gudenrath). The silver is beautiful and makes the blank super reflective. Some of this is lost as the blank is blown out, so l have to keep playing with it. Started this piece with a little struggle, loosing five canes on the second rollup, but kept moving forward for practice. Now, off to its new owner. DavidMade a few of these little Montessori cups for some little ones. I used the smallest little amount of opaque purple and it created a nice iridescent result. DavidRecent reticello bottle. I was rushing and took a gather just a few seconds too early. The studio was closing so l didn't have time to straighten out the pattern, but it is an interesting piece because of the added twist. In some of the pictures you can see the reticello seed than can be attached to a blowpipe and used later to create a vessel with the pattern.
