Hey folks!
I‘m looking for new professional opportunities from February 25 on!
If your org is hiring or you have recommendations … shoot me a message, please!
#dddesign #golang #hexagonal #eventsourcing #cqrs #eventdriven #tdd
Reposts very much appreciated!
This was a good read: Event sourcing for smooth brains: building a basic event-driven system in Rails
https://boringrails.com/articles/event-sourcing-for-smooth-brains/
@billseipel If you're interested in podcasts, this episode of No plans to Merge has a great discussion starting in the 35th minute (deep linked)
https://overcast.fm/+pVpseksCE/35:20
Also, Dev Discussions has a deeper overview that talks more about the read side: https://devdiscussions.simplecast.com/episodes/d8e482be-d8e482be
I've pondered similar thoughts since I watched Greg Young's "The Art of Destroying Software".
I really think #EventSourcing is part of the puzzle as well as #cqrs.
Our industry keeps looking elsewhere. It's good to have people like Adam who have the energy to go their own way.
In my opinion, if you architected your system in a way the code quality doesn't matter, you have achieved good code quality.
Started looking at #eventsourcing.
I am tired of having to do data mining excavations in order to find out "what happened".
The part that concerns me is just the "read" part.
I’m on the market for a staff/principal role. I have a passion for #SoftwareArchitecture, Developer Experience, community, mentoring, #performance, and interacting with business and domain experts.
Comfort zone: #php #typescript #react #symfony #laravel
Excited about: #eventsourcing #eventsauce #eventstorming #domaindrivendesign #modeling
Would love professional exposure to: #kotlin #golang #dotnet #python #eventstoredb
Visit beausimensen.com to contact or DM me.
The success that #EventModeling and #eventsourcing enable is incredible. Please feel free to share this with others if they are not convinced that they can improve their projects this way. Thank you to Jason, Fran and others at ShedSuite for an incredible journey together!
i wrote a book!
it was my pandemic project. i was approached at the end of 2020 by my would-be editor after presenting on the topic, and here we are now with my words in print. its wild.
the vast majority of the book is implementation-agnostic.
we are no longer bound by the constraints of the past.
we should be looking forward on how to build for the future.
i’d love to know what you think.
I just published the follow-up article:
"Advanced features of an Event Store for Event Sourcing"
https://medium.com/@TonyBologni/advanced-features-of-an-event-store-for-event-sourcing-a457ebd77692
Mastodon first, the bird site and others will have to wait. ;-)
Boosts are highly appreciated!

Here we go, new article "Essential features of an Event Store for Event Sourcing"
https://medium.com/@TonyBologni/essential-features-of-an-event-store-for-event-sourcing-13e61ca4d066
There will be a second part very soon:
"Advance features ..."
Already finished, I split it, because it was 14 minutes reading time, which is a bit long.
I just moved into the Hachyderm server, so I'll start with the #introduction. I'm Oskar, an unsuccessful football player and a terrible guitarist. I still have my Amiga 500.
I'm trying to share what I learned about #EventSourcing, #EventDrivenArchitecture and in general programming on my:
- blog: https://event-driven.io
- GitHub - https://github.com/oskardudycz/
- newsletter - https://www.architecture-weekly.com/
Fun fact, I've run a fansite about Radiohead and was Mascot at European Basketball championships.
Updated #Introduction.
I'm a software engineer with a background in #network infrastructure and automation, currently working with #kubernetes .
I am very interested in #SoftwareEngineering (esp. #EventSourcing and #ImmutableArchitectures). I primarily work with #Golang and #Python
, and used to be a #PerlMonger
, but I am interested in programming language design and implementation and dabble in many.
