"He cheered on questionable treatments like cod liver oil, and said that local doctors had achieved 'almost miraculous and instantaneous' recoveries with steroids or antibiotics."

Note that shifting blame for contracting measles to lack of good diet and exercise blames victims in a particularly nasty way that makes invidious insinuations about social class and income. RFKJr. and his kind are models of good health?

"[RFKJr] issued a muffled call for vaccinations in the affected community, but said the choice was a personal one. He suggested that measles vaccine injuries were more common than known, contrary to extensive research. He asserted that natural immunity to measles, gained through infection, somehow also protected against cancer and heart disease, a claim not supported by research."

At the #CDC, 2 prestigious training programs were gutted: one that embeds recent #PublicHealth grads in local #health depts & another to cultivate the next generation of PhD lab scientists. But the agency’s #Epidemic #Intelligence Service—the “disease detectives” who track #outbreaks around the world—has apparently been spared, perhaps because of an uproar among alumni after a majority of its members were told on Fri that they would be let go.

That is fckng disgusting. Allowing coding geeks, under a pseudo-intellectual, to make decisions about highly specialised areas such as finance and health, 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 lead to impeachment. Then again, our elected officials override expert opinions all of the time for their own benefit and that of their donors, don't they?

The U.S. Is Not Ready for Bird Flu in Humans

Bird flu is infecting more people than we think. We need to stop it now before a new pandemic begins

Right after President Donald Trump took office, amid the flurry of executive orders and agency upheavals, the administration told the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention not to release any reports or communications until one of Trump’s people could take a look at them. Among the many reports not released that week was a study on how many veterinarians had gotten bird flu.
