For #DoorsDay here's the Piscine Municipale Saint-Georges in Rennes, France — a municipal swimming pool. Photo from 2019.

Blue grillwork on the arched glass doors leading to the building with the large swimming pool. The steps up are trimmed with blue tiles. The whole thing looks very impressive!

Could there be a more perfect #postcard for #Doorsday??

The sender gave me the mission to come to Ireland, find at least one of these doors, and send them a pic. Challenge accepted!

My first contribution to #doorsday

This door is found in Gamla stan ("Old town") in Stockholm. The city was founded in 1252, but this building is considerably newer, from the 1630s. The famous french philosopher René Descartes lived a while on the invitation of the Queen Christina in Stockholm from 1649 to early 1650, when he died, possibly in this very building.

It's #Doorsday!

Catalani Tower House / Casa Torre dei Catalani.
The house is 16 metres high and was built around 1200 as a livable tower. It's got a lot of history, a legend of love and loss, some interesting family members who appear in Dante's Inferno and it's just tucked away in a little quiet backstreet.
