Flora White Art and photos
As you might have noticed, I'm new to Pixelfed. I kinda skipped the introductions on my first posts but I shall remedy that :) My name is Flora, I'm a painter, I mostly use acrylics. I qualify myself as a humanitarian artist. I enjoy painting people & emotions but I don't refer to myself as a portraitist since the people I paint come from my head or are only sometimes partly based on real people whom inspire me. I also teach general arts & crafts part-time. I enjoy photography but I don't always carry my Nikon around, especially when I'm kayaking so part of the pictures I take are with the phone. I'm mostly into skies, landscapes & sunsets but you might see other subjects here & there. I'm also a very proud mamma to a kitty girl. She' 6 years old and she enjoys posing, especially when I put up a huge setting just for her. I'm in Canada so she wears coats pretty much 7-8 months out of 12 so she sees no difference when wearing a dress. Bonnets don't annoy her neither. I'll try not to spam you all too often with cat pictures but you'll find that she's indeed pretty photogenic and adorable! :D However, my camera's mirror snaps too loudly, it stresses her, so I always take her pictures with the phone :)
