Tonight: another Nashville band comes to play the BK honky tonk. Teddy & the Rough Riders doing their best at the outlaw thing and mostly nailing it at Skinny Dennis. They're in town all weekend, worth a look-see.

Today/Tonight: 2 shows at Union Pool.

Afternoon free show in the front room, first off-kilter folk from Ezekiel Healy, then heavy effects-laden violin constructions from Laura Ortman.

Then back this evening in the venue proper for a solo set from Woods' Jeremy Bradley Earl. Straight through, zero chit-chat, songwriting + some cool use of backing tracks and a few choice guitar solos. A perfect Sunday evening show, nicely done before 10.

Tonight: friend brought me to see Logan Ledger and I'm glad he did. Wasn't on my radar preciously, but a gem of country folk with a nice old school sound and a voice that was born to sing it. A rare ticketed show at Skinny Dennis, rightfully packed on a Tuesday night.

"In The Cobbler's Window"

A collection of shoes and wooden shoe molds is displayed hanging within the shoemaker's shop window in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia, casting shadows and adding a rustic charm to the scene. The open window's green frame and the interior's warm lighting create an inviting atmosphere.

This afternoon: good times in Williamsburg, tasty BEC at Edith’s, then music in the front room at Union Pool with Small Chucks (with some quite touching lyrics) and then over to Skinny Dennis for Alan Lee's monthly hit, always a good time.
