"Complicated" is the debut single by Canadian singer-songwriter #AvrilLavigne from her debut album, #LetGo (2002). It was released on 11 March 2002 by #AristaRecords. Lavigne and production team #theMatrix (#LaurenChristy, #ScottSpock, and Graham Edwards) are credited as #writers. Production on the song was helmed by the Matrix. According to Lavigne, the song is about being honest with oneself rather than "putting on a face".

Since first watching THE MATRIX many, many years ago (I know, it's not *that* many, but it kinda feels like), I’ve been fascinated with the floating matrix design. I had it on nearly all my computers since as a screensaver (for the 2 minutes before the screen goes into energy saving mode). Then I forgot about it. But in the last week, I spent some minutes looking for the floating matrix screensaver, found it, installed it on my Raspberry Pi, then on my MacBook. Nostalgic bliss! #thematrix

Having read many sci-fi novels over the decades and seeing all to many converge on our reality,
I've always seen #TheMatrix as a not unlikely destiny for humanity.

We will soon be the less intelligent species competing for the same vital resources and are training them on human behavior without even trying to implement #Asimov's laws.🤦‍♂️🤦‍♀️🤦
