This evening's viewing distraction: The Last Voyage of the Demeter (yes, the one from Dracula).

Diesen #MeerfilmMittwoch gibt's wieder eine Premiere für mich: Auf den Release von #TheLastVoyageOfTheDemeter (USA 2023, R: André Øvredal) hab" ich mich schon lange gefreut. Jetzt ist wr auch günstig genug gewesen, um zuzuschlagen. Der Film ist eine Adaption *eines* Kapitels aus Bram Stokers #Dracula. Find ich mal eine originelle Idee. Schauen wir mal, ob sie funktioniert.

L'argomento Dracula e vampiri è abbastanza inflazionato.
Il film sposta il focus sul viaggio verso l'Inghilterra del Conte, ambientando il tutto su una nave.
Si lascia guardare.

From the trailers, #Abigail looks like a very nice twist on the #vampire #flick, and an over the top fun #movie that I was hoping the overly serious and ultimately meh #TheLastVoyageOfTheDemeter would be.

#TLVoTD tried to set up a franchise but should have done so by killing everyone so no one in #London would be prepared instead of leaving one person alive, making the monster the protagonist, imo.

Since everything has to be sequelized, let's make them interesting, if not original, at least.
