Reducing car dependency in Arizona matters beyond the borders of the state. All too often those working for more human and environmentally sound planning and transit policies in the USA are met with a simplistic and thought stopping cry of "It might work in Europe, but our geography makes it impossible!"
Local news nothing online. Social media for largest news AZ Central shared good video on Threads but I won’t link here to Threads. We picked up estimate 15k capacity in stadium, 5k capacity overflow area AND thousands outside who never made it in. Bernie and AOC came all the way outside to speak afterwards to remaining crowd. I am still betting all local news will downplay it and those videos on Threads won’t be published online tomorrow. I am sure my guess was pretty good - 15k to 20k or more.

No idea what happened to a post I had this morning, but in recognition of St. Patrick's Day, I have a sign from an Irish pub @ grill to share, Collins. I didn't get to go there and it was good to know that sometime when I get up there next to Flagstaff, I will try it out. I dearly miss "my" Rúla Búla Irish restaurant I went to for over 20 years, Tempe Arizona. It closed and I'll never see the likes of it again. Every St. Patrick's Day, I and my brothers and sisters would each get our own limerick written for us by my full Irish grandfather. It was very special and I still have some saved to this day! TUCSON, Arizona -- "When Arizona's largest universities slammed down on Palestine supporters, it was obvious they were hiding something. What they were hiding was the fact that they are thriving on war dollars.
"The most obvious is Raytheon Missiles located at the #UniversityOfArizona's Tech Park in Tucson. The less obvious are the millions in grants and contracts that both the University of Arizona and #ArizonaStateUniversity receive for technology, including cyber technology, artificial intelligence and robotics.
"While slamming down on #Palestinian support -- and shooting them with #RubberBullets in #Tucson and denying some graduation at #ASU in the #PhoenixValley -- both universities were heading up a national coalition of U.S. universities to support Israel, after the genocide was underway.
"Arizona State University in #Tempe, in the Phoenix Valley, has gone to the extreme to silence voices in support of Palestine. Besides forbidding pro-Palestine rallies, its harsh crackdown on encampments has resulted in 62 Palestine supporters now facing charges."

His fmr WH chief of staff, #JohnKelly, decided to speak out against Trump after he said he’d use the US #military to “handle” the “enemy from within.”
His arrest came after police reported 3 #shootings in a matter of weeks at the #DNC #Tempe office bldg. The first incident occurred on Sept 16 followed by another on Sept 23. The most recent incident occurred on Oct 6, when the building was damaged by BB Gun & #firearm rounds…. All of these incidents occurred between midnight & 1am, police said.
