@chris @Paulatics @va2lam @Amgine the #DutchSenate, the Upper House of the States General, is elected by the Provincial States, (the provincial assemblies) and can vote in favour or against bills passed by the Lower House. So the Senate doesn't really add much to the table, except maybe as a "buffer" since both houses' election cycles are offset. The current #Schoof government has a majority in the Lower House, but nót in the Senate.

#Schoof also believes that it is necessary to continue working hard on new #European sanctions.

@randahl : the Netherlands govt may be disintegrating as we toot (that would be great, although most Dutch voters have not resisted the propaganda spilled out over them - on the contrary - so I'm not sure that they've seen enough lunacy from the US).

Our PM Schoof was stabbed in his back (by three of the four political parties responsible for our current government) for promising that NL would contribute to the 800 M€ EU defense plan.

A tiny majority in the Dutch parliament now makes Schoof look like a fool.

For the first time in his life he told the parliament to GFY. The debate will continue tonight IIRC.

Het is gekmakend dat #Schoof zich verschuilt achter wat het parlement ervan zal vinden. “Veel te vroeg”, wat nou?!? Wel crisiswetten voor niet bestaande crises, maar nu zich een echte crisis voordoet, een beetje gaan zitten afwachten. Als Schoof zover is, is het *VEEL TE LAAT*!
