Man From Reno, 2014, is a mostly bright and sunny neo-noir centered in San Francisco that's a mix of Murder, She Wrote and The Talented Mr. Ripley, with a (dark) heart.

Heavy on dialogue in Japanese, interestingly, it's a story that takes its time and, fittingly, changes as it goes, never giving itself away, even at the end.

A very good movie despite flaws; I recommend 👍🏿

I finally watched the movie Coherence (2016) last night, and though it's a bit rough and unpolished, the premise is very good and plays out excellently.

It's on Peacock now, but I think I had it for a long time in my Hulu queue (it's gone now).

It's a typical white person dinner party flick that slowly devolves into something unsettling and disturbing.
