It's here! The latest issue of @beforesmag in print is out, and it covers Framestore 's VFX for #paddingtoninperu.

The issue goes in-depth on the CG bear and other creatures in the film, as well as the shooting methodology, which involved background plates filmed in Colombia and Peru, and principal photography with actors on partial sets and bluescreen in the UK.

Went to the movies today to see #PaddingtonInPeru. It felt... a bit slow. I was in a cinema full of young kids and they were laughing once or twice and only in the last part (kids only laugh when somebody gets kicked in the balls, so there was no ball-kicking or other slapstick violence before that).

The fur rendering (all done by #Framestore?) is amazing though. Especially in close-ups. With bits of dirt stick in the fur. Incredibly realistic!
