@mariatta these things are one of the main roles of "Pythonbrasil" - the Brazilian org equivalent to the #PSF - it takes a 10% of any donations, and that is enough to cover operational costs, and then it works as an Umbrella org through which the money for most Python events in Brazil goes through.
I've even used Pythonbrasil to fill this role when organizing the non-directly-related to #Python #Libregraphicsmeeting in 2017
Also, the page says "once on the PayPal site click the link Don't have a PayPal account?. A PayPal account is not required."
This is not true, a paypal account is apparently now REQUIRED. If you click on "Don't have a PayPal account" and fill in the payment information, it only allows you to complete the transaction by creating a paypal account.
I've thought for a few years that there's more friction than necessary becoming a PSF member...more stress than expected, I'll send a check. #psf
Is anyone in the #PSF able to look into an issue with the #psfmember signup website? The page where you signup to become a supporting member needs some love. After initial signup and before payment the buttons should be "Go Back" and "Continue", but both say "Submit".

Ouch. The voting page for the #Python Software Foundation (#PSF) Board of Directors 2024 Election is completely inaccessible with a keyboard.
It's hosted by OpaVote, which is presumably a third party. None of the director candidate checkboxes or bylaw change radio buttons can be navigated to, nor can their state be determined with a #screenReader to make sure I'm voting for the intended things. #accessibility
