Hashmi better win, I need some good news. The #Nationals are not helping on that front, losing to the 15-57!!!! Colorado Rockies. WTF??? #Nats
Paul DeJong who was beaned April 15 begins his rehab assignment tomorrow in Harrisburg #nats
Quoted from Crickey News:
"McCormack told Crikey in an interview conducted before the thawing in relations that he sincerely hoped the Coalition would reunite.
“I hope we can work through the whole process and get back together,” he said. “Taylor Swift has many breakup songs, some of them have happy endings, some of them do not. I hope this will have a happy ending, that it’s not like that one that goes: ‘We are never, ever, ever getting back together’.”
So, putting the #LNP - #Nats ' squabble aside for a moment, why would an 'elderly' politician use Tailor Swift and her repertoire to illustrate his hope for a good outcome. I've got to ask. Is McCormak a "Swiftie" ? I wouldn't think so (I coud be wrong and if I am, I'll never think of Michael in the same way). So, if not, why did he say this? Currying favour with a younger generation for votes? You never know with these professional politician, they'lll say anything for votes.

This is hilarious in that the leader of the National Party in Australia is, in actual fact, a member of the Liberal Party and is only ‘affiliated’ with the Nats.
Does this explain the steady shift to the right by the Liberal Party in the last forty years?
This really is most farcical.
Well, it will take a little longer than planned, but Well Done, Angus.
Congratulations, Jacinta.
We'll soon see the back of #Sussan and #NukedTed as there is a #LibSpill as a result of the #LibNatBreakup and a new party room vote.
Probably post 1 July when the new senate arrives, with a few Sussan votes departing on June 30.
That will swing the #Libs further to the right, so they'll be closer to the #nats but both will be damaged by the #LibNatBreakup. Sure, they'll have sloppy sex with the ex in the Prayer room, before attempting a trial reconciliation, but they're a spent force.
If you want to read all the ins and outs on #NATS move away from #OpenSource to #BUSL from the perspective of the #LinuxFoundation CNCF, then this repo got you covered:
Here is an issue in the #NATS repo with a complaint and appeal to not change the license from #Apache 2.0 to #BUSL.
If you care about #FOSS and NATS and have a #github account, then interact with this issue. Give your thumbs-up or comment on the thread.

Boosts appreciated!
There's long been a view held by certain cynical entrepreneurs that they can go with #OpenSource to build a user base then bait-and-switch #SoftwareFreedom away once it is established. That's bad.
What's worse is to donate to an open source Foundation then pretend you have the right to "take back" the project later.
This is not a new phenomenon, we have seen it before and can spot the signs (like fake licenses). But this case (#NATS at #CNCF) looks pretty severe.
#Synadia the company behind #NATS announced their intent to move their codebase fom a #FOSS license to #BUSL.
Here's #LinuxFoundation CNCF's response to that:
And the reaction of Synadia:
https://www.synadia.com/blog/synadia-response-to-cncf
Their reason boils down to #OSS: Unsustainable.
Here's the HN discussion on the matter:
Synadia is attempting to exit the CNCF and “claw back” their OSS asset contributions on the NATS project to re-release under a non-OSS license. This is a decidedly bad look and I hope their legal saber-rattling fails. OSS will survive, but commercially-backed OSS is dying.
Damn. Didn’t expect this to happen. #NATS https://www.cncf.io/blog/2025/04/24/protecting-nats-and-the-integrity-of-open-source-cncfs-commitment-to-the-community/
Embarrassing for the #Nationals to barely squeak out a win over the Rockies, especially with a freaking 12 run lead in the 8th inning! That bullpen needs a makeover. #Nats
