I'm old enough to remember #NAFTA being born.
So many folks in Canada were worried the US would get the lion share of manufacturing, and Canadian businesses - with longer distances, etc would be hobbled or wither. Conservatives crowed how all boats would rise when we were all great partners.
Maybe true while the great partner part was true.
But those cons set us up for today's situation where key industries are dominated by the US, and Canada relies them at our peril- as the NAFTA plan intended
