"There is no association between the COVID-19 vaccine and miscarriage, a new Obstetrics and Gynecology study confirms. COVID-19 poses significant risks to pregnant women, but vaccination rates among this population remain low. Using data from the Vaccine Safety Datalink (VSD)... Yale researchers analyzed approximately 300 miscarriages and 600 live births that occurred between January and October 2021."

@heinivaisanen and Katherine Keenan used the BCS70 data to study socioeconomic inequalities in miscarriage risk.

Summary of results 👇, see link for full article.

Among all women less advantaged SES was associated with a higher risk of #miscarriage during adolescence and early 20s, but it reversed around mid-30s. If only pregnant people were studied, SES was not associated with the risk.

Recently a woman in Georgia by the name of Selena Chandler-Scott was arrested after she had a #miscarriage being charged with concealing the death of another person, and abandoning a dead body.

She disposed of the fetus in a dumpster after a natural miscarriage of an unviable fetus.

The chargers were dropped, and she can grieve in peace after one of the worst things a soon to be mother can go through.

It should have never happened at all.

As we explore privilege and entitlement and #patriarchy, there are so many things men simply won't face, or don't believe are happening, or deep down are not able to face.

Because they're weak.

And it doesn't matter how conservative a woman is, if she has a #miscarriage and her husband is not a safe person to talk to, these husbands don't know that they don't know that there have been miscarriages.

That is something that men, ought to be telling other men.

I am so shocked I dunno what else to say about this, I just want people to know because it was horrifying to me-

A woman in #georgia was arrested for having a #miscarriage that was no fault of her own after disposing of the fetus in a dumpster.

Guess we are going back to biblical times in the #usa and #liberals saw this coming.

I literally cried.

Yikes! Men who consume cannabis in *any* form have 2x the chance of their partners having miscarriages. Women consuming cannabis had no impact on risk. Turns out sperm and testicular tissue have cannabinoid receptors.

I've heard that it takes about 72 days for sperm to mature, so a 3 month break may be enough to reduce this risk. I've also heard that alcohol has an effect and 4 months is the recommended period for that.
