Okay, so I don't know what happened, but today I decided to just try livestreaming to MakerTube just to see if it would work this time, and things went beautifully. No disconnect issues, no stopping and starting... I'm very happy!
So I'm going to start streaming to MakerTube again! Woohoo! 1-4:00pm PDT (UTC-7) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays!
Here's the recording of today's stream:

I got his haunting "Three Little Pigs" image done today! Woohoo!

Follow my #Peertube on @tkb0iz@makertube.net
Get to know me better: https://tkb0iz.carrd.co/
I am now slowly adding subtitles/transcripts, but as it is a quite tedious process (import video to Davinci Resolve, let it do its auto-subtitle speech recognition magic, edit and fix the subtitles, export to .srt, add that to the video on peertube) it’ll take some time to get them all done.
I also set up a yearly donation to #MakerTube via #LiberaPay.
My EU based alternative to #Patreon and #PayPal for donations is #Liberapay @Liberapay. They are in France, so under GDPR, Open Source, non-profit, they don't sell your data, don't take a cut but rely on donations instead and can do direct debit via SEPA/IBAN, so IMHO a Very Much Good Enough solution :) My yearly donations to #Forgejo and #Makertube are there now. (yes, they also support Stripe and Paypal for payments, but I prefer SEPA/IBAN to keep everything here ;)
I have a peertube account and have started synching it with my youtube, so if I've done stuff correctly (probably not), it should be slowly pulling all my youtube videos over here:
Here's my drum cover of "The Perfect Element" by Pain of Salvation!

For Sandro, who decided to enter the room in the middle of the recording!
Feel free to blame him for all the mistakes
I used the live version for the final part, as I think that's amazing - and also saves some drumming
Hope you like it!
Got this Little Mermaid WIP piece started yesterday. I’ll be continuing it on my stream today: 1-4:00pm PDT (UTC-7)
I’ll be on —

I'll slowly be uploading most of the back catalog of covers and new covers.
Good morning Fedi friends!
It's been 99 days since I started self-hosting my own Fediverse instances. Crazy how time flies!
I've been a bit absent from here this week because I started exploring the world of #PeerTube from the POV of a creator.
I just set up my own account on #MakerTube - so that I can write a guide that is accessible to many (as opposed to skipping this step and going straight to self-hosting).
Anyway, here is my PeerTube account: https://makertube.net/a/elena/video-channels
I have been able to follow it from #Mastodon and #Friendica without a problem, but I keep getting an error message when I try to subscribe with my #GoToSocial username. The exact message: "Cannot fetch information from this remote account." Does anybody have the same issue? (as in: people on GoToSocial, can you subscribe to PeerTube channels?)
Wishing you all a lovely day
P.S.: about to go offline for the rest of the day because... there's no pre-school in France on Wednesdays and the garderie keeps my little one up until 12:30. So apologies in advance if I'm slow to reply to messages.

There is a big inrush of people and registrations on #MakerTube after c't #heise (a big German publisher in IT) uploaded a video about alternative platforms to the big US owned ones. I'm going through the registrations and letting people in, but I can't accommodate everyone. There are just not enough resources, and the focus of MakerTube is limited, see https://makertube.net/about/instance/team
Maybe it's time to think about a platform with a bigger scope? #peertube
Gestern: Big Tech vs. Fediverse
Mein Wunsch: Mehr Informationen ins Fediverse. Parallel posten macht keinen Aufwand.

Going live today, 1-4:00pm PST (UTC-8) on MakerTube and Twitch, finishing up an Art Nouveau illustration of Snow White in Procreate!
Soothing music, Tea, and a chill vibe! Lurkers welcome!
New piece! I got most of this done on my livestreams this last week, but finished it up off-line because I needed to figure out what I wanted for Goldilocks's golden locks.
I'm really happy with this one. It combines a whole bunch of influences, inspiration, and advice during the stream (thank you @ina for the bear idea!). I'm enjoying making these!
Next up, Snow White!
