Chuck makes 3 great points:
1️⃣ Luka & LeBron are gonna bump horns. Both are stars that want the ball.
2️⃣ Only the #Mavericks rly know #LukaDoncic & know the real reason for the trade. Was it rly because of Luka's fitness?
3️⃣ The #Lakers have officially told #LeBron, times up. We're building for the future, not now.

Listening to #LeBron talk about basketball plays is so insightful.

It just goes to show that you can have all the skills in the world, but you still need to have the right mentality to apply them.

Him talking about basketball being a 5-on-5 game versus a 1-on-1 needs to be taught to every basketball player.

watching #Haaland (with his sergeant De Bruyne) vivisect #Arsenal was faintly disturbing--haaland is intimidating in the way #lebron is, a joyful player, but without the liquid grace that i most appreciate in an athlete. where ronaldo was impossibly quick and messi (like federer or jordan) simply impossible, haaland seems like an accident--as if god accidentally left a decimal point in the wrong spot and spawned a puppy the size of a house.

unbeautiful--and you can't take your eyes off him.

I have respect for Lebron and his scoring record. That's many years of dedication and hard work to get there. Gotta respect that.

That said, I feel like he has a responsibility to remind people about Kareem's impact on the game every time someone brings up the record.

There's "being a great player" and then there's "greatness as a human" and Kareem is definitely in the second category.

As my few, long-suffering followers here from the hellsite know, it is one of the few hills on which I will die that #Kareem Abdul-Jabbar remains the #GOAT. In a better world, he also might also have been a great President (or at least Senator), instead of the two white Christian mediocrities of his era who came out of California & presided over unprecedented national scandals. And both Jordan & #LeBron owe #Kareem (& Russell & Robertson) everything for forging the path.
